Okapi Compass is not a travel agency, tour operator, guide service, booking platform, safety authority or local access authority. Okapi Compass does not sell trips, organise travel, provide guided tours, arrange accommodation or transport, or guarantee the safety, legality, accessibility or current condition of any listed place.

Information on Okapi Compass may be based on editorial research, community submissions, public information and manual review where possible. Conditions change. Information may become outdated. Always check local sources before visiting.

Users may submit places, descriptions, ratings, categories, coordinates, practical access information and images where uploads are enabled. Submission does not guarantee publication. Content may be reviewed, edited, rejected, unpublished or removed.

By submitting content, you confirm that you have the necessary rights to share it and that the content does not infringe the rights of others.

• Only submit content you have the right to share.
• Do not submit misleading, inaccurate or fabricated information.
• Do not submit content that is unlawful, harmful or rights-infringing.
• Do not submit promotional material, advertising or spam.

When you submit content to Okapi Compass, you grant Okapi Compass a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, edit, adapt, translate, publish and make that content available as part of the Okapi Compass platform and related editorial presentation.

You remain the owner of your content. This licence is necessary for Okapi Compass to operate, moderate, improve and present the platform. It applies for as long as your content remains on the platform and ends if you request its removal and we are able to action that request.

Okapi Compass is a curated platform, not an open directory. Submissions are subject to editorial review where possible. Content may be edited for clarity, accuracy, tone, safety, privacy or editorial fit. Okapi Compass may moderate content to preserve the quality, calmness and editorial identity of the platform.

Content may be rejected or removed if it includes:

• inaccurate, misleading or fabricated information
• promotional, advertising or spam content
• content encouraging trespassing, unsafe behaviour or illegal access
• content that exposes fragile, sensitive or protected places irresponsibly
• content harmful to local communities or protected environments
• personal data or private property details shared without appropriate rights
• copyrighted images or text used without permission
• discriminatory, hateful, threatening or unlawful content
• content that conflicts with the Okapi Compass editorial standards

You are solely responsible for deciding whether to visit a place listed on Okapi Compass. Before visiting, check current local information, access rules, weather, terrain, transport, opening times, environmental restrictions and your own ability.

A place being listed on Okapi Compass does not mean that it is risk-free, officially verified, permanently accessible, legally open to the public or suitable for every visitor.

Users are expected to respect local communities, private property, protected areas, wildlife, cultural sites and the quiet character of the places they visit.

Do not trespass, damage natural environments, disturb residents, disclose sensitive private locations irresponsibly or encourage behaviour that could harm a place or community.

Okapi Compass is an independent project and may change over time. We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the service, update features or change how content is presented.

We may update these Terms as the platform develops. The latest version will be available on this page.

Okapi Compass aims to provide useful and carefully presented information, but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, accurate or suitable for every situation. Nothing on Okapi Compass replaces your own judgement, preparation and local checks.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation would not be permitted by applicable law.
